I have been a practicing artist all my life. In 1991, I graduated from Chester College with BEd Hons and Specialism in Art. I have studied and worked in the UK, USA and Chile where I have also had exhibitions. I currently live in Hackney and work as an art enrichment teacher, in Tower Hamlets, running a successful art studio for primary school children.

My work is often in acrylic paint, which suits me, as I like to work quickly and usually on more than one painting at a time. I am interested in outcomes that arise repeatedly through spontaneous exploration and accident. These give me direction and, over time, my own style. The landscape, a constantly recurring theme in my painting, gives me the opportunity to explore space, mark making and gesture in paint. Sketching usually leads me to concentrate more on line and I often look to plants for my subject matter.
